Dental Spa.. A Unique New National TrendAnd There Is One
Right in The Bay Area
Dental Spa's are one of the hottest new dental trends in the
nation. The Spa Association recently reported that Medical Spa
growth is up 143% in the last five years. One of the reasons for the
growth… they work. Dental Economic Magazine and other trade sources
say it is easier to encourage people to attend their dentist
regularly by making their visit enjoyable at a Dental Spa. Island
Dental Spa (/)
on Anna Maria Island, one of the few Dental spa’s in the area, does
just that. Since re-branding as the Island Dental Spa almost 4 year
ago, the Island Dental Spa has experienced above-average growth.
The complete dental spa experience can be felt upon entering the
dental spa and relaxing next to the 300 gallon fresh water fish
tank. Patients are greeted with a Comfort Menu to choose from a wide
variety refreshments and entertainment; including fresh muffins,
juices, hot and cold drinks and a listing of music and TV
selections. Some patients choose to relax with a glass of wine while
waiting.
When entering the exam room the Registered Dental Hygienist,
takes care of the patient's comfort needs first. The more popular
comfort items are warm blankets, cool or warm eye masks and paraffin
hand wax treatments. During their visit patients can also calm their
nerves with video entertainment which includes watching DVD's or
digital channels on personal video glasses or a flat screen TV. If
the patient responds better to music, they can select their own
variety from over 50 channels to enjoy with noise-reducing
headphones.
To top off your relaxing visit, patients are sent home with a
fresh smile, fresh chocolate chip cookies or a homemade smoothie in
a specialized to-go cup.
Equally as important as the spa amenities is the technology and
dental expertise provided by Dr. Gy Yatros of the Island Dental Spa.
He offers state of the art technology as he was the first to offer
CEREC 3 in the county, featuring 3 Dimensional imaging of a
patient's mouth and single-visit crowns replacing the old standard
method of 3-4 week multi-visit process.
In addition, Dr. Yatros has grown his expertise in smile
makeovers, becoming one of the most well-known cosmetic dentists in
the community. He has provided expert opinion on local television
stations including NBC News Channel 8; ABC News Channel 7 and WB38.
He thrives on combining a wide range of his dental capabilities to
create whole new smiles for people who have little to nothing left
of their teeth after years of neglect.
